Belly pics 2

So I got the pics to upload and here are more belly pics! I can't believe I'm already 22 weeks along! The pregnancy has gone sooo fast! We are slowly but surely getting things for Alex and can't wait for her arrival! I will post pictures as soon as we start on the nursery, which won't be for a while since we seem to be busy every weekend!

There they are, the belly pics! I hope to see you all soon but for those of you that I won't then here are some pics. I feel like the last one is really bad but you take what you get! I recently went to Boston for a conference and got to see some good friends so I will try to post those pics as well.

Belly Pics

I have been meaning to post some of these pictures. It is always hard to put yourself out there but here they are. There are more to come but we are having some trouble with our laptop so it might be awhile. Below are 18 weeks and 19 weeks.

IT'S A .....

Girl! We couldn't be more excited. Today was the first sonogram and it was just amazing! Andrew and I are so excited we will be welcoming a little girl into the world in July! I wanted to get a picture up right away! Her name will be Alexandra and we are still working on the middle name! Welcome little baby girl K!

Yesterday we got a record amount of snow for DFW! The total was 11 inches, can you believe that. Well TCU was one of the only universities that actually closed for the whole day. Many other schools followed. Unfortunately Andrew had to work so the dogs and I just hung out! When I woke up in the morning there was maybe an inch on the ground but it was still snowing at 9pm! It was so fun to watch the dogs play in the snow, it got so deep that Maggie couldn't even walk in the snow. Below are some pictures of the dogs and the snow throughout the day.

Expecting the Unexpected!

Well, we have been keeping it to ourselves now for almost 16 weeks so we thought it was time to share! Andrew and I will be expecting a new addition to the family on July 31st, 2010! We are so thrilled and can't wait. It has been an exciting few months. We found out we were pregnant right before Thanksgiving. We also decided we were not going to tell many people until after the 1 trimester. Well that lasted a few weeks! We told our families over Christmas while we were back home. They are so excited and are now busying planning their summer vacations around when the baby comes. I have had a few appointments and one ultrasound at 6 weeks. We scheduled our big ultrasound (when we find out the gender) for March 10th. We can't wait!

We have been busy planning and trying to get things in order. Of course we are getting advice from everyone under the sun! We are actually taking one little last trip, just the two of us (I guess it is called a babymoon) at the end of February to New York City. We are so excited to see the city and experience all the great things about New York! Okay, so now that I have spilled the beans expect many more posts to come with pictures of us and the baby's nursery! Baby K will be 16 weeks on Saturday, I can't believe it has been 4 months already!

Hilarious Pictures

So I couldn't help but post these pictures. Andrew came home one night with a Santa hat and reindeer ears for the dogs. We put both on them and they hated it, they ran away and pawed them off their heads. One Sunday I decided to try to make them pose with them on. I didn't think I would get very far but I would try. So I put the Santa hat on Sophie and told her to stay (which I had to keep repeating over and over to make her do it). Then I put the reindeer ears on Maggie and told her to stay (and also kept repeating). Then I grabbed the camera and took the first shot. The when I realized they were going to actually stay put I moved Maggie closer to Sophie for a real picture. As you can see I laughed my butt off after going back to look at the pictures. They look like they are hating me at that moment! I think this might be one for the Christmas cards next year!

Seriously mom! this sucks!

I really hate this.... come on!

Are we done yet, you have humiliated me enough!

Merry Christmas... late

We hope you all had a very Merry Christmas and happy New Year! We headed to Nebraska for Christmas this year. This was the first Christmas back since we moved to Texas. I know that our family was so happy to have us. We of course knew that we were headed into the winter wonderland but had no idea what we were getting ourselves into. We did beat the storm but ended up getting snowed in for a couple of days. The storm arrived in a big way! It started snowing on Christmas Eve (just like it had in TX) and didn't stop until late Sunday. So we spent Christmas Eve with my parents and Christmas Day with Andrew's Family. It was so fun at my parents but it was crazy... between 4 kids, 5 dogs and 9 adults!

The kids were so fun watching them open their gifts! Below are some picks!

Below are some pictures of all the snow!

Andrew's grandma from California was also visiting while we were there. It was nice to be able to spend some time with her. We also took our annual family photo. The dogs did a great job traveling.

We ended up getting home on Sunday, just in time for Andrew to go back to work. He ended up getting sick on the way home which made the trip even longer. Running into some traffic made a 10 hour drive into a 12 hour drive. Needless to say we were happy to be home! Hope this year brings many blessings to you and your family!
