Time is flying by...

Okay, so my last post was November....Where has the time gone? We Alex is 19 months old and is the cutest little girl ever! She loves playing outside so it is a good thing we live in Texas where the winters are mild. This winter has been especially mild with temperatures in the 60's, 70's and even the 80's, like yesterday! Crazy to me who grew up with snow and cold temps. Anyway, we spend a lot of time at the park and the zoo. She loves animals and has a blast. She loves when she gets to see the "cho cho" when we have to drive by the train tracks. She loves them! She is really saying a lot of words and she can communicate well with actions. I feel like every week she has a whole new set of words she is repeating and saying fairly clearly! She is so tall but super skinny! She takes after her daddy! She can be a picky eater if we don't limit her snacks, she loves to snack (again, just like her daddy).

She was sick over Christmas with pneomonia and took a week or so to get over that. Both sets of parents were down over the holidays and helped get prepared with stuff of the baby. My dad painted the baby's room, so nice! I will post about that later! The first part of the year is flying by. I'm 30 weeks pregnant already and can't believe we will have another baby soon! Get ready!!! Below are some random pictures from the last few months! I hope I can blog a little more before baby #2 comes but lets be real, it may not happen!

Has 15 months already gone by?

So Alex had her 15 month appt that went well. She was 33 inches tall (95%) and weighed in at 22 lbs 10 oz (50%). She is growing like a weed! She is a fairly good eater but she is like her daddy in that she snacks throughout the day and doesn't eat a lot at one time. She LOVES books, we read books all day long! She loves to play outside and swing. She also loves her puppies, especially Maggie! She is still in size 4 diapers. She is still taking a morning nap and afternoon naps that range from 45 min to an hour and a half. She has started to throw some tantrums but I think it is that she just can't communicate what she wants. She also is starting to tell me when we goes poop. She points to her diaper and trys to tell me. So we shall see what that brings. She is so much fun to be around and really is a good little girl. We love you Alexandra!

The past couple of months!

Okay so I have been very bad about updating this blog, what have we been up too.... We we have taken a family trip to Florida to the PGA National Resort and Spa. We had a fantastic time and will be going back. Alex did really well on her first family trip too! I feel like September flew by along with October. We had a visit from Andrew's parents in October, I took a girls weekend to Vegas in October and it was nice to get away. Andrew and Alexandra had so much fun! We took a trip to the Texas state fair and went to the pumpkin patch!

But the biggest news is that Andrew and I are expecting again in April! I was a little bit of a surprise but we are definitely excited! We will have our handful for sure but we are looking forward to meeting our new little addition. I didn't feel the best with this pregnancy so it took a little out of me. But we are getting back on track. Anyway, that is what is going on. Below are some pictures and I will also do a separate posting on Alex's 15 month appt.

Happy Birthday Alex!

Has it really been a year? Alex has blessed our lives and we are loving every minute with her. We had a really fun time on her birthday. We had about 20-25 people over for her party and she loved every minute of it. We had lunch, opened gifts and had cake and ice cream! It was really nice. She only slept 30 minutes that afternoon and went strong until 8pm! Andrew and I actually went to Harry Potter since we had free babysitters with the grandparents in town.

She loved her cake and didn't make a huge mess. She really dug in. It was so fun watching her.

We bought her a baby swing and had my dad put it up and ever since she wants to go outside and swing all the time!

So here are some stats:

She is a happy and healthy girl. She plays very well by herself. She sleeps from 8 to 8:30 to about 7am. She still only takes about 45 minutes to an hour nap, she will sleep longer if I rock with her ;). She really smiles all the time, it is so fun. It has been great staying home with her and watching her grow and change! She loves to read books. She loves rides in the wagon in the mornings. It has been too hot outside to do anything but she loves to be outside. We also go to story time at the library every week and she loves it. She dances and plays with all the other kids. Alex, you have been an absolute joy to be around and we love you so much! Happy birthday baby girl!

11 Months and Birthday Planning

So here are the 11 month pictures! I can not believe that in less than a month we will have a 1 year old! Crazy! So I have started party planning. I mailed the invitation, went to party city and got the essentials, plates, napkins and such for the party. I decided that I am going to make Alexandra's cake, along with cupcakes, so I picked up some supplies for that as well.

My Goddaughter, Lydia, came down on Saturday and will be leaving tomorrow. It has been so nice to have someone here to help with Alex. She helped me with some party decorations as well! We have gone swimming a couple of days, shopping a couple of days and have done a lot of just hanging out!

So that is what is going on here. Andrew's birthday is also coming up in July so I have something up my sleeve for him too! More on all that later!

10 Months!

I can't believe Alex is 10 months old already! She is crawling so fast, she is pulling herself up with no problem and she is cruising around the couches and coffee table! We got a walker for her and now she is walking like a pro. She will also stand there for a period of time and then fall to her bottom when she wants to go anywhere. She still isn't sure she can take steps by herself but she has thought about it a couple of times!

Alex has 7 teeth! 7! That is crazy to me. I think she is also getting in some of her bigger teeth as her gums are all red and swollen! She is generally a happy baby. She is still getting sick every once in a while. She had an ear infection and was pretty sick while we were back home in Nebraska a few weeks ago. That was no fun!

She loves to "read" her books, play with the dogs and overall explore by crawling all over the house. She also still has separation anxiety pretty bad but hopefully that will pass.

Andrew and I celebrated our 7th anniversary. Can't believe it was 7 years ago! We have been blessed in so many ways. I have a wonderful husband and he is an awesome father to Alex! Below are some pictures, enjoy!

9 Months and Easter!

We had a great 1st Easter with Alex. She was so excited. Alex is 9 months old. Time is really flying by so fast. She is changing everyday and we are so blessed to have her in our lives. She is pulling up and cruising on everything. She loves the dogs, Maggie especially! She is into everything and she crawls so fast. She is such a happy baby. She is a big girl, 20 lbs and 29 inches long!
